Today's Tip

This is a good one for all of you who like to eat fish on a regular basis. If the fish counter at your grocery store has a sale on a type of fish you like, ask if they have any in the freezer. Usually the fish on display is thawed out and previously frozen so you have to eat it within a day or two. Just ask and they often have the same fish in the freezer for the same price, so it's a great way to stock up and save. Yesterday I got some trout on sale for $3.99 lb (it's usually $7.99) I got a 2lb frozen fillet, cut it up while still frozen and stored some in the freezer. I now have a fish meal for the next three weeks for around $8.00, just $2.60 a meal That's a saving of about $10 on what I would normally spend on fish over three weeks.
