Rite Aid Deals and match ups 9 4
I have been working out the deals I can find based on the coupons I have and the flier from Rite Aid for Sept 4 - 10.
I will try and work out the least expensive way to earn the +UP Rewards as well and other coupon and sale combos.
The front page of the flier
Garnier
The most appealing thing for me on here is the $10 +UP for buying $30 of Garnier.
The items are going to be BOGO 1/2 off so that will figure into the savings too
I have 6 coupons for $1.00 off Garnier shampoo (RP 8/28), conditioner and treatment.
If the full price is $3.99 each for shampoo and conditioner
I buy 6 at the BOGO deal that's $17.97 towards the +UP and with coupons, I only spend $11.97
I need to spend another $12.03 I have 2 coupons for the Garnier hair color (I wouldn't mind a change)
That's regularly $8.49 so two of those at the BOGO price would be $12.74 and I have the 2 coupons and a $1 Video Values so I spend $9.74
Total Spent = $21.71
I get an +UP for $10.00
That's $40.92 worth of product for $11.71, a great deal!!
If you divide it up evenly each product costs just $1.46
There are other combos to this deal as there are also Garnier styling product coupons.
Crest Optic White
This one is a bit simpler
Orignial Price is $3.99
You get a $2.00 +UP Reward
Use a $1.00 off crest toothpaste coupon from the P&G 8/28 insert and get it for $0.99. (you can do this 4 times)
Back Page
Chex Mix
I'm not sure of the price for the 6oz Chex Mix but I figure that it is around $2.50
They are BOGO Free and there is a coupon for $0.50 off 2 and a Video Value for an additional $0.50
You should be able to get 2 bags for around $1.50 that's just $0.75 each or 70% off
I will keep adding to this post so keep checking back.
This Weeks Rite Aid Shopping trip.
This week was a big one. I had to get razors and they weren't on sale and I didn't have a coupon so this shopping trip was set to be an expensive one. But it didn't work out that way. Here is what I got and what I spent.
So it was a successful trip only $37.26 + tax out of pocket and another $21.50 in Up Rewards to spend next week.
There are no coupons in this Sundays paper and the Rite Aid flier came yesterday so I am already working out next weeks deals. I know from a glance that I will be taking advantage of the offers on Excerderin and Crest toothpaste. I'll post the deals as I find them.

My First Shopping Trip with Serious Coupons
Today I made my 1st attempt to get some serious deals with coupons.
I bought 2 different local papers this weekend to get the coupons. I actually enjoyed reading the papers too so it's good to know there wasn't waste there and lets face it the papers only cost $3.50 and you get that back in coupons so easily.
My first couponing trip was to Rite Aid. I checked with this site before I went http://www.livingrichwithcoupons.com/ and did the best match-ups I could with only coupons from one week of inserts. In the future the deals will get even better as I build a full body of coupons.
I just put everything I bought into a spreadsheet and figuring in the sales, Up Rewards and Single Check Rebates. I managed to get $77.87 worth of useful product for just $28.53 that's a savings of $49.34, this is great. I will be heading to Shoprite this week too to see what deals I get there.
I can't wait till next week and see what more deals I can get.

Rite Aid Deals
I have a Riteaid just down the street from me that I am finding out I don't pay enough attention to. I currently get all my household shopping at Hannaford and I am starting to realize that I am throwing money away. My local Rite Aid stocks many of the grocery items that I am buying at Hannaford but with much better deals and some great saving opportunities.
I wanted to make a note here of some of the ways that I have found so save at Rite Aid. This blog is a great way for me to keep all of the info I am finding in one place and if it helps a few other people to save money then great.
Rite Aid has a single check rebate (SCR) program that I knew nothing about until I started browsing around the web. I will be keeping all my receipts from now on and maybe switching brands to match up with the rebates. When you combine the rebates with the Rite Aid Up Rewards and manufactuter coupons you really can get something for free or almost free.
https://riteaid.rebateplus.com/
They also have a Video Values program. Just watch a few very short videos to entitle you to some great printable coupons. You can combine these with Up Rewards, SCR and manufacturer coupon for even more savings.
http://riteaid.adperk.com/
How great is this. I am just starting out with the whole couponing things and I am amazed what is out there that I didn't know about.
My grocery bill is about $150 a week right now. If I can bring that down with coupons it really is like earining a wage. By spending time on the computer looking for deals I am freeing up money that my family can use for other things, like a trip to Sesame place.
I am looking forward to getting my first local Sunday paper and checking out what I can save.
